I'm getting really bad at this...

Once again it's been weeks since i last said anything.
Things are still good. I just got my wisdom teeth out about a week and a half ago.
I'm eating real food now :) yay.
School is school. Everyone knows i'm not a fan so there's not much more to say haha. But i'm getting through it. Trying to enjoy it. I'm loving my ward here in Raintree SOO much better than last semester. well everything about this semester is better than last. So i can't complain too much.

My mom just came to visit this past weekend.
it was fun. I love having mom around :)

i'm still just trying to figure out what to do with my life...and i still have no idea. so if you have any ideas for majors or anything like that just let me know...i'm clueless.

Noteworthy's sacramento show is next week! how crazy is that?! i'm SO excited tho! it's going to be amazing. buy your tickets if you haven't already...

I lost my phone the other week...well it ran away...so i have a new one now...so i don't have a lot of phone numbers...let me know what urs is...

and...that's about it...i'm just bored out of my mind sitting in my apartment by myself...needing something to do...hmmm

here are some pictures and stuff from recent events.

We all happened to match when we were going on a triple date.

I think it's about time...

For another post.

A lot has happened since i last posted.
I guess i'm getting in the bad habit of never posting anymore.
Sorry about that. But seeing as i have done ABSOLUTELY nothing today
i figured it was getting time to catch everyone up on my life.

I've had my ups and downs since the beginning of last month.
The weekend of Martin Luther King's Birthday A bunch of friends from home came to visit. Sam, Logan, Johnny, Kurtis, and David. And then later that weekend Savannah, Natalie, and Spencer Joined them. So me, sam, nat, and savannah had a huge sleepover in my apartment. It was so fun.

But then, that very same weekend, i found out that my Grandma Jensen died. We were at my friend Ashley's house when my mom called me. She said that grandma wasn't doing very well and that they were calling an ambulance to come get her. About ten minutes later i got the call...saying that she had passed. I didn't know what to do. So i went out side by myself and just cried. I have never had someone close to me die before, so i didn't exactly know how to handle it. My grandmother had alzheimer's so i knew that this was a good thing for her. She was now able to remember everything and she has knowledge far beyond any of us. I was happy for her, but at the same time...i realized that i wasn't going to see her again for SUCH a long time. I was so sad for my family. For my Grandpa and my Dad...i wanted to be with everyone, and instead...i was sitting outside in the 20 degree weather bymyself...crying. So i called up Savannah and Natalie...(who weren't here in provo yet)...and i just cried with them.
After that i didn't really want to ruin everyone's vacation...but i didn't want to go home and be by myself. because we all know it's not good when you are so sad to have too much time to think about it. So i went along with them to the nickelcade and just kind of walked around not really feeling anything. After that i came home, and got a blessing from my FHE brothers. And i have to say. that i have SUCH a testimony in the power of blessings. Since i've been here in provo i can't even tell you how many times blessings have helped me. I used to be afraid to ask for them, and now i don't know why. They are so amazing and everytime i get one i am blown away at how much my heavenly father knows exactly what i need exactly when i need it. So after that i felt at peace, but i still wanted to see my family.

Savannah and Natalie came the next day from Idaho to be with me, and i can't even tell them how much a appreciate that. It's been really hard for me to be away from friends while i'm here in Provo, and i love that even though we are a 4 hour drive away...they are still here for me when i need them...

So I decided that i would go home that weekend for the funeral. Now this seems like it would be an easy decision to make, and it was, but the thing is, i had a Noteworthy retreat that VERY same weekend. It was a three day two night event where we had workshops that i probably REALLY needed, and it's HUGE bonding time and spiritual growth time. I knew that this was a really important thing, and i was afraid that if i didn't go...i would be behind and i would miss out on those bonding experiences and maybe be a little left out for a while. But after praying about it, i knew that i was supposed to be with my family for this. So i called up the director and told her that i wouldn't be there...she was really understanding. So i took the car over to Sacramento and i was able to be there for the funeral. It was an amazing funeral, and just being there made me feel so much closer to every single member of my family. The day after me and some of my older girl cousins went out for lunch and it was something that i think we all needed. we were all able to talk about our grandma and reminice on good times when we were little and much closer. I LOVEd that. I suddenly feel the urge to be so much closer to my cousins like we were before, and i'm so excited for christmases and summers when we can go to lunch again. Family has always been important to me, and my testimony of families has grown SO much in these past few weeks.

Well anyway so that sunday i drove home with my dad's cousins, and we were almost home (we were in draper) when all of the sudden we hit an icey patch in the carpool lane and we spun the WHOLE way accross all 5 lanes of traffic...i don't know how, but no car hit us as we spun into the center divide. We hit pretty hard and i got a huge bruise on my back which is still there, but other than my bruise no one got hurt. I was definitely blessed. it could have been so much worse.

Anyway since then everything has just been the same ol same ol. I still hate school...and i always will haha. but i'm learning to deal with that. I feel myself getting back into my old habits though...the ones of not really doing as much school work as i should...and just wanting to sleep all the time...and not really having motivation to do anything. I'm really trying to be better...but sometimes i have a hard time...since i'm not really sure where i'm going with school...I've even thought seriously about transferring to Idaho...I do realize that i have a purpose, and i kind of know what direction i want to go in, but i just don't know where exactly that is leading or what exactly it is i'm supposed to be doing in order to fulfill the goals that i have. I'm doing a lot of pondering on where exactly life is taking me, and what i need to be doing in order to get where i need to be. It's been a hard 6 months for me trying to figure it all out. But i realize that sometimes you just have to go along with the breeze...and eventually you will get somewhere...and i'm ready to be somewhere. i'm REALLY ready.

i'm sorry this blog has been kind of scatter brained.
i'm in a scatter brained mood
and just need to get thoughts out...
so there you have it.

I love you All. :)

New Semester

It's Been SO long since i posted something. last time i posted i was missing my keys.
now i'm in a whole new apartment where i don't even need keys! just a simple code.
and by the way...i LOVE my new apartment
and my new ward
and my new roommates
and the hot tub right outside my apartment
and being right next to the laundry place
and being just far away enough from campus that i don't have to look at it all the time haha
and looking outside at the snow :)

basically this semester is a whole lot better than last.
and i still am not a huge fan of school, but i'm loving where i live now.
so it's so much better.
anyway here are the classes i'm taking:

Human Development
Marriage Prep (no i'm not getting married haha just preparing...it's always good to be prepared)
American Heritage
BOM II
Physical Science part A

none of them seem too bad.
so it should be an okay semester.
but i definitely am starting to figure out what i like and what i don't like
i really think that i want to do something with the school of family life.
i'm not sure what though...a lot of things with that i'd have to go to grad school to really do anything worthwhile with, but maybe i will do that.
even if i do hate school haha.

so that is about it.
christmas and new years were amazing.
and life is good.
love you all

i just realized...

how i got through a year without snow...
you don't lose things when you drop them on the ground overnight and it's not snowing.
because they don't get covered with snow...
but when it snows a lot...
you can't find anything you dropped the night before...

yes...i dropped my keys while frolicking in the snow last night.
and i can't find them...
because they've been covered in snow...
now i have to pay for them.
and i have no money...
oops.
i'm sure i will find them once spring comes around
and the snow melts
but by then it will be too late...
sad day.
anyone want to donate to my keys fund?

Christmas time.

I'm wondering how i ever got through a Christmas without it being a white one...
I've seen snow outside my window when i've woken up for the past few days...
and i find it to be one of the most beautiful things.
I was actually kind of dreading the snow because it's cold and wet and slippery,
but now that it's actually here...i absolutely LOVE it!
It really makes Christmas feel so much more...Christmasy :)
I was at my friend jana's house tonight,
and we left at about midnight to come home and when we stepped outside...it was perfectly white...and hadn't been touched...it was beautiful.
It's FREEZING and i'm dying of cold...
but i LOVE the snow!!! :)

Life is Crazy...but i LOVE it!

Quite a lot has happened recently but i haven't has ANY time to update this...i guess i will start from thanksgiving break. It was AMAZING i was SO glad to go home for a little bit and be able to see my family, friends, drive lots!, and just get a break from school. School is getting to be super crazy because of finals and i have a ton to do. especially because...exciting news...I'm moving off campus!

Not sure if anyone got the idea that i was not having a good time in my ward or in the dorms, but i wasn't. I've been thinking about moving out of the dorms since the first week i got here haha. Me and two of my friends have been trying So many places looking for 3 free spaces which is REALLY hard for winter semester because most people have year-long contracts, but yesterday we found a place that is perfect and has 3 spaces open for us in the same apartment! We also went to the ward yesterday to check it out, since that is one of my main reasons for leaving the dorms, and we LOVED it. It's a really social ward, and i probably met more people there yesterday than i have this whole semester in my own ward. The Rent there is almost 100 dollars cheaper, and even though it's farther away, i have an actual living room, tv, and i can paint the walls haha So i'm really excited to be living here. I think i will definitely enjoy the atmosphere there...

And i am happy to say that i am LOVING Noteworthy. At first things were really stressful with work and all the rehearsals, but now that the whole learning a song every night thing is over it's SO FUN! we have shows every single night this week and it's going to be crazy considering i still have to pack up all of my stuff, move it out, write some papers, and study for finals, but i'm sure everyting is going to work out...anyway. just thought i'd give you all an update...oh and i put some noteworthy videos on my page. :)

Love <3

Quote for today

So today i went over to the eye doctor with one of my roommates, and as i sat there waiting i read O magazine. As i read the magazine, one thing popped out at me. It said:

"Happiness is not a set of desirable life circumstances; it's a way of traveling."

for some reason that really stood out to me and i haven't been able to forget about it since i read it. I am definitely a "glass half empty" type of person, and not because i like to be miserable, just because i don't see the point in hoping for things that won't happen...and i know this is a very pessimistic view on life, and i don't mean to sound that way, but as i read this I realized, once again, that life is what you make it. and i definitely don't seem to make it all it can be. These past 5 or 6 months have been pretty rough for me, and don't seem to be getting much better, but i know that if i can get myself to just sit back and remember to travel happily then things will seem better than they are. it's just a matter of being able to do that.
